338 million dollar loan for Corridor 10 construction PDF Print E-mail

Corridor 10Serbian government took loan from World Bank for construction of Corridor 10. Loan is 338 million dollars, and it will be used for finishing several sections of the Highway. First section is from Dimitrovgrad town to the Bulgarian border. From Grabovica to the Grdelica, and from Vladicin Han to Neredovci. World Bank stated that construction of those sections will improve road safety and efficiency of transport in Serbia. Head of the World Bank office in Serbia Simon Gray stated that this loan will help Serbian economy in ongoing financial crisis. Also that this project will employ many people, and include small companies also, which will also indirectly contribute to the economy. This loan funds will be released 1st of September this year. Return period is set to 20 years with grace period of 8 years. Beside World Bank Corridor 10 project in Serbia is also being financed by European Investment Bank 600 mil. euros approximately, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development 150 mil. euros approximately, and Greek Government by 100 million euros. Total sum for finance of the remaining projects is 1,2 billion euros.
