Gazprom After the entrance of the Moscow Bank to the Serbian market, Gazprom Bank will also join. Serbian Petroleum Industries, were purchased by Russian company Gazprom Neft, and after that it will also enter the banking market with their own bank. Most probably Gazprom bank will take over local Universal bank, because it is far more easier and faster to take over some domestic bank instead of building a new one. Negotiations are almost over, fist price was 200 million Euros but, now due to the ingoing financial crisis it could be almost half of that value.
Gazprom company has share of 41,73% in Gazprom Bank, while 42,89% belongs to the Lider investment fund, approximately 7% is owned by Gazprom retirement fund, and 6,3% by company "New Financial Technologies."
